These illustrations were crafted to breathe life into the insightful content and stories that educate and empower individuals and families on their financial journey. Each is made to comply with their brand colour palette. Many illustrations were made with variations to accommodate the different sizes required on different platforms including website, social networks, emails, and in house monitors, etc. Creative Direction: Sarah Tomilin, Servus Credit Union - [Apsen Music Design](https://amandawall.ca/portfolio/aspenmusicdesign/) - STRATEGY A strategy session was conducted to create this brand statement: Lisa Jespersen runs Aspen Music, where she combines her 25 years of dedication to teaching piano with her music therapy practice, serving the beautiful communities surrounding Spruce Grove, including Parkland County, Stony Plain, and West Edmonton. Her qualifications include an Associate of Music in piano and a Bachelor of Music Therapy. Her students and clients embark on a musical journey that leaves them feeling supported, encouraged, and genuinely empowered by the magic of music. Just as Aspen trees bear marks on their bark, revealing the story of their growth, Lisa's work with music leaves lasting impressions, reflecting the remarkable growth and progress of her students and clients. IDENTITY In the concept stage I explored unique possibilities stemming from our strategy session and brand statement resulting in the unique, professional logo she uses today. DESIGN Coordinated print design items such as business cards, stationary, and intake forms were created for Aspen Music. A website was also created that reflected the brand, featured information about her services, contained calendars and registration forms, and provided multiple "call to actions". The client later needed a coordinated presentation design. Every slide was crafted with their unique style in mind, ensuring brand consistency across the board. Now Lisa can attract and inform her ideal clients! - [Parkland County Libraries Design](https://amandawall.ca/portfolio/librariesdesign/) - I’ve had the pleasure of working with Parkland County Libraries on some branded materials; this book tote and bookmark. The design request was for a tote that was welcoming, fun, and that people would want to carry around. The purpose of marketing materials like this is to remind people of the brand, which I did here by utilizing their colour palette. We also got to advertise library services in this design with icons representing all that libraries have to offer outside of book borrowing! The bookmark is a no-brainer as an alternative to traditional business cards. On one side, you’ll find lighthearted bookish humour to make you smile, while the other side features all the branch contact info you need to connect with your local rural library. Libraries go beyond books—they’re community hubs for learning, creating, and connecting. Designing for organizations like Parkland County Libraries is always a rewarding experience because of the positive impact they have on local communities. “We are so grateful for Amanda and all her creativity – and for her continued support for the library! We could not be happier with the numerous creative and functional branded items she has come up with over the years. Thank you." - [White Stag Janitorial Brand](https://amandawall.ca/portfolio/whitestagjanitorial/) - White Stag Janitorial is a premium commercial cleaning brand. Commercial cleaning companies often have lack-lustre names, so this company was named to stand out above the rest. While the name lends itself first to animalistic imagery, we wanted to heighten it with a more regal approach, and that’s how the crown icon was created. White Stags hold that same royal position in folklore and literature. This brand keeps its premium look using a minimalistic design and a colour palette that ties back to classic concepts relating to business (blue and grey) and cleaning (white & yellow). You can see it translated in the soft touch business cards, social media posts, embroidered blue polo uniforms, and its website. - [The Enchanted Dragon Identity](https://amandawall.ca/portfolio/theenchanteddragon/) - STRATEGY We conducted a strategy session to identify key information needed to execute designs that aligned with a consistent brand. “I had just started my business and was struggling with finding what direction to go with it. I hired Amanda for a business strategy session and through the few hours we sat together she not only helped me determine my direction but how to get there. We pinpointed who my audience was, how I wanted them to view me, and how I was going to reach them. Amanda was open and approachable and I enjoyed the experience. I will be using Amanda in the future to take what we created to develop my business identity items.” A brand statement was created for The Enchanted Dragon. IDENTITY In the concept stage I explored different unique possibilities stemming from our strategy session and brand statement. Part of my logo agreement covers a promise to provide original work. The selected logo came with two orientations in anticipation for various placements. The Enchanted Dragon had this to say, “Yay! Thank you soooooo much for my new logo. It is so beautiful and it fits my business and me so perfectly!”. - [Stony Plain Christmas Ornament Design](https://amandawall.ca/portfolio/stony-plain-christmas-ornament-design/) - The Town of Stony Plain asked me to create 2016’s limited edition commemorative holiday ornament. I conceived a concept that matched the town’s brand and represented some of the little things that make the season special in our area. Each vector illustration forms to create a single wreath. It was letter pressed, double sided, onto a cotton paper and hung by hemp cord. The public had this to say: “Ooh it’s pretty this year!” | “Got mine – love it!” | “So beautiful!!!“ - [Rural Roots Brand](https://amandawall.ca/portfolio/rural-roots-brand/) - I have worked with Rural Roots, a brewery in Elmira, Ontario, since 2019. I created a brand and branding materials that portrayed Rural Roots as a comfortable and inviting space with people passionate about community, family, and rural roots. The public response has been overwhelmingly positive. "Daily, we get customers commenting on how perfect it is! The consistency you have created across every platform is awesome!" Roger and Sue (owners) came to me with a brand strategy in place, and we spent time discussing what it meant to them and their audience. I provided three variations of how Rural Roots Brewing Company could look with a clear objective. My collaborative process was a success. While Rural Roots was still under construction, I was a regular consultant on the interior and exterior decisions. Outside, I aided by providing photoshopped mock-ups, signage templates and how-to's for the hand-painted barnboard sign, and guidance on material choice for the doorway signage. I created a three-part roadside signage campaign to gather community interest. Inside, I collaborated with them to keep the interior accurate to their brand. I even designed the tap handles. We continued to capture the Rural Roots identity with each small project. I have been the web creator and manager of Rural Roots social media since mid-August 2019. It has been my job to optimize the back end of their Facebook page, create a layout for Instagram that is visually appealing, and build awareness for the brand via tags, shares, and post reach. I'm also a contact point to customers, build customer loyalty, and promote products/services and community events. I've shared here some social media content I've created. Most recently, I had the opportunity to design beer can labels. Each one features an ink drawing to tell the story of the beer inspired by history and roots. UPDATE: In July 2023 these clients felt so confident in the consistency of their brand that they took over their own social media accounts. We worked on what that meant in terms of keywords, customers, personality, and competitors. Once we brought together a new logo mark, we used a provided style guide to apply colours, fonts, and messaging across multiple platforms, including business cards, a website, social media, phone wallpapers and more. “Amanda has a very relaxed and professional manner which made me feel comfortable navigating in an area I am not familiar with.
