Now, I’m not going to pretend I can write anything near as elegant as Tim Kuefler. You can get your full dose of that over at his blog – timotheories. I do want to make a special post though to say “Thank You!” for interviewing me and highlighting the topic of delegating between work and personal lives. I think more resources are needed for busy parents looking to succeed as caregivers and career makers – even if it’s just knowing that you are not alone in the struggle.
Below is the video interview but I highly recommend reading Tim’s written prelude and exploring the other interviews he’s created. Like Tim, I hope this video stimulates and inspires. Here’s a link to his complete post.
Here is a link to a previous preview post about outsourcing business vs household responsibilities.
Be seeing you.
I hope you’ve had the time to follow my progress over this year’s Inktober. I feel like I’ve gotten more comfortable with both digital sketching and real life inking. I decided to try Jake Parker’s method of sketching in photoshop. I after inked with Staedtler Pigment Liner 0.1, Faber-Castell #199 Black – F, and/or Faber-Castell #199 Black – B.
When it came to styles and techniques, I saw this as an opportunity to try a large variety. You’ll see some of my illustrations ranged between cartoon-ish to more realistic. I decided on my subject based on my inspiration for the day.
This was my first time participating in Inktober. I am happy with the amount I was able to complete. I only missed three days: Day 15, Day 26, and Day 28. Twenty eight out of thirty one is not too shabby.
Below is a recap of all the illustrations I’ve completed. I’d love to hear your feedback.
I will be having an online auction soon for the originals which do not have the Inktober and website mark as you see here. Check back on here, or on my social media, for more details. It will be a limited opportunity and a great chance to get some original art for a lower price.
[EDIT: The online auction is scheduled for Monday November 7th, 2016 over on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/635777783258538/ 12 noon to 10pm MST]
The first of a 5×7″ trio inspired by the current novel I’m reading, Wicked, for Illustration Friday’s theme: Fragile.
Created with ink, watercolour, and a splash of acrylic.
